dc.description.abstractAs with other coastal communities, coastal communities Trisik Beach has a similar problem. The wealth of natural resources in the Coastal Trisik not been able to lift themselves out of poverty. Community empowerment is necessary Trisik coast of an effort that is planned, systematic, and continuous to develop the independence of social, economic, political and fishing communities to manage potential resource at their disposal to achieve sustainable social welfare. There are at least five coastal community empowerment approach that can be implemented on the coast of Trisik, namely: (1) creation of alternative employment as a source of income for the family, (2) Bringing the public on sources of capital with an emphasis on the creation of self-financing mechanisms (self-financing mechanism), (3) Bringing the community with a source of new technology more effective and efficient, (4) Bringing communities to the market, and (5) build solidarity and collective action in the community. These five approaches should be implemented with regard seriously the aspirations, needs, income, desire and potential resources owned by the community.en_US
