    Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on all vital sectors, including the tourism sector in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. One of the affected tourism activities is the tourism village business. The impact of Covid-19 for tourist villages is a decrease in the number of tourist visits, even at a certain time there can be no visits for several months. The purpose of this study is to propose a strategy for developing Ketingan, Importantsari, and Pulesari tourism villages. Some of the problems that exist in the study locations apart from the impact of Covid-19, among others: limited tourism supporting infrastructure, low quality of human resources, lack of internal communication, and has not become a priority for developing tourist villages for the community because they are considered as a sideline. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The sources of data were obtained through field surveys, interviews, and literature studies. Based on the results of research in the three study locations, it is necessary to develop a tourist village, both technically and management. The development strategies that can be proposed are: establishing communication and cooperation with other institutions, both public and private sectors, strengthening internal and external communication, creating alternative tourist attractions as a form of increasing tourism competitiveness, increasing human resource capacity, online promotion using social media. and offline, and each village is recommended to establish a BUMDes for local tourism. This is intended to increase people's income from tourist village activities so that there is an increase in welfare.
